Acronis True Image for Western Digital Does Not Detect the Drive in a Third-Party External USB Enclosure

Acronis True Image for Western Digital does not see the drive after it is put in an external third-party enclosure.
The enclosure may be blocking access to the drive.

Resolution

  1. Make sure the cable is tight, secure, and not loose.
    Try another cable.
  2. Update the enclosure firmware.
    Contact the vendor to update.
  3. Contact Level 2 Customer Support.
    Level 2 Support can help when the computer can see the drive in the enclosure, but Acronis cannot.
